Helping your pets live better, longer
Kia Ora, I’m Vicki.
I’m really passionate about preventative medicine and caring for our pets from day one. I believe in starting them off on the right foot, and supporting their needs as they age. To do this, I work with pet owners in a mutual partnership to ensure the highest quality of life for them and their precious animals. I have a special interest in behaviour, arthritic pain management, and treating FIP in cats.
Outside of my clinical work, I’m heavily involved in veterinary mental health and wellbeing. I run The Riptide Project, and am a founding member of the Professional Wellness Group of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA).
I travel as much as my wallet allows when I get time off for good behaviour. I also dabble in some photography and am a huge fan of good gastronomic experiences (so share your favourite spots with me)! I share my home with my retired Huntaway/Heading dog Doug, and naughty street cat Jasper.
Doug, Jasper, and I, look forward to meeting you and your furry family members the next time you visit!
Alex built his own Vet clinic in 2004 and is proud of the advances the clinic has made in animal health care, and all the people and pets helped since that time. Alex loves all things to do with the ocean from diving, surfing and fishing to sailing and most other sports including boxing and kickboxing. In the weekends Alex enjoys escaping the big city to surf the waves in the Coromandel with his son Darius.
His abundance of knowledge and experience is extended out to the clinic all the way through to on air. You may see Alex starring on the morning show; The Cafe or hearing him on GeorgeFM, check out his Purina campaigns on our YouTube Channel too! It seems where ever you look Dr Alex is there for you.
Hi, my name is Eva. I graduated in South Africa in 1996 and have now been working in Auckland for 18 months as part of Auckland Pet Hospital. It’s wonderful working with such a capable and caring team of vets and nurses.
After graduating, I worked in animal welfare for many years and still have a passion for primary health care. I spent many weekends in small South African towns participating in sterilization campaigns and a month on Galapagos volunteering at Darwin Animal Doctors. I find this grassroots work very rewarding.
When not at work, I enjoy spending my time outdoors running, biking, hiking or playing tennis. My four kids keep me busy playing Mom’s Taxi the rest of the time. Our three cats (Storm, Floss and Lily) came from Cape Town with us and they provide us with plenty of love, cuddles and entertainment. My kids call me the “crazy cat lady” and I wear the title with pride.
I look forward to meeting all of you and your fur-babies very soon.

Hi, my name is Marie. I am a Senior Nurse at Auckland Pet Hospital . I graduated from Unitec with a Diploma of Veterinary Nursing back in 2009. During my years of nursing Cats and Dogs, I have also spent time working at an exotic referral clinic in Auckland where I got to nurse animals such as Moreporks, lizards and rabbits. I have a huge passion for all things bunny related and have been deemed "the bunny lady" by past colleagues and clients.
I love all aspects of my job from medical to surgical but my biggest interest is teaching. In the past few years, I have been asked to guest lecture at Unitec on exotic small mammals and I have most recently obtained a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing of Exotic Small Mammals. I live my partner, my cat "Pikelet" and rescue bunny “Winston”. In my spare time I love to bake delicious treats, collect vintage treasures especially clothes and travel with my partner.
I am Caitlin and I am one of the nurses in our close knit team at Auckland Pet Hospital. A career in the veterinary profession is one I took a leap into after many years of wishing and deliberation and it has been the best decision I have made so far. My profession allows me to exercise my interest in veterinary clinical care and as a result get the satisfaction of seeing our patients get better and thrive.
In the years I have been apart of the Auckland Pet Hospital team, I have enjoyed the getting to know our clients and patients and being a part of their journey. On the days when I am not wearing my uniform, I love spending time with the loves of my life - my dog (Spencer), my cat (Kitty), my partner and entertaining my passion for gardening.
Hi, my name is Joanna, I have been working as a Veterinary Nurse for the past 9 years. I have always had a passion for animals from a young age and knew my future was a career involving them. The joy they bring with their wagging tails, nose boops and unique little quirks is what brings a smile to my face. I love all aspects of being a vet nurse but mostly treating all animals as if they were my own and nursing them back to full health, to live a happy and full life.
When I'm not cuddling one of your beloved pets, I am at my countryside home with my small zoo of rescued animals from cats & dogs to horses, goats, sheep & pigs. I look forward to getting to know you and your fur family.
HI I'm Nally, one of the veterinary nurses here. After completing a commerce degree and working, I still wanted to work with animals so eventually began studying vet nursing. I started at Auckland Pet Hospital in the cattery so there is a high chance I've looked after your kitty when they've stayed.
After fostering Wendy and Patsy, I knew couldn't give them up so welcomed them to the family recently. They're adorable, little mischiefs. I really enjoy working with the team here and caring for your fur babies.
Hi, my name is Ashley and I am a recent graduate from Massey University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology. Earlier in the year, I started working at Auckland Pet Hospital and absolutely love it. I am passionate about caring for animals and strive to ensure their stay with us is enjoyable as much as possible.
In my spare time, I love to spend time trying out new cooking recipes, and also spending quality time with my friends and family.
Leila graduated with a Diploma of Veterinary Nursing in 2018 through Unitec and has since been working in both specialised and general practice clinics in Auckland. She joined the Auckland Pet Hospital team in 2021.
Leila has a keen interest in emergency care and loves nursing as no two days are ever the same. Leila dotes on her cat Dottie and likes pottering around her garden.
Hi my name is Alex and I am a Vet Nurse at Auckland Pet Hospital. I joined the team back in 2019 as a Cattery Attendant whilst studying to become a Vet Nurse. I graduated in 2021 and have since stepped into a full-time nurses role.
I love all aspects of vet nursing from client relations to monitoring anaesthetics and caring for the animals.
I have had a passion for animals from a very young age, they have always been a big part of our family. At home we have 2 dogs, Miley and Leo as well as 3 cats, Ella, Bieber and Bindi.
When I’m not at work I enjoy being at the beach, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies :)
Hi I’m Teigan I am a Veterinary Nurse at Auckland Pet Hospital.
I have been nursing since 2017 and I love it. What I love most about my job is the patient care, ensuring all our patients get the very best and heaps of cuddle too.
I have previously worked in a mixed practice vet clinic with both large and small animals, and I have also worked in emergency practice helping the animals that get up to a bit of mischief.
I have a passion for helping our amazing vets with surgery and post-operative patient care. I love to hear all the stories about your pets whilst doing nurses consults.
Outside of work I am fur mother to a whole flock of animals, you can find me taking my miniature dachshund Archie to the park or taking my horse Hugo to the forest for a trek.
Hi, my name is Danielle, I am the Clinic Manager at Auckland Pet Hospital. I graduated with a Certificate in Animal Management, and a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. I have been lucky enough to be working with the clinic for 11 years now. I work with some of the best vets and nurses I know. Knowing that I am contributing to helping pet’s live happier, healthier lives with their human families, is why I love this job so much. I love being outdoors, I have a passion for art and all things creative. But my real love is animals, particularly my pets. I have a black and white, called Sammy, he loves his food a bit too much, and is well known for stealing the neighbour’s food. Kitten is a SPCA rescue, who loves nothing more than cuddles.
